LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment which uses a cold laser to bring about a photochemical reaction at a cellular level. The laser which we use penetrates deeply into the tissue and can work intra-articularly also.
Studies have shown that LLLT can cause metabolic changes within the body which can stimulate tissue repair and have an analgesic effect.
LLLT can be especially beneficial for patients who are unsuitable for dry needling treating similar musculoskeletal problems. It has been shown to reduce recovery time of injury and can be used in chronic wound care.
